Ujjain: Municipal commissioner Prathibha Pal on Thursday held a meeting of ward nodal officers to know their ideas on making the city more beautiful. She also took account of cleanliness status in all wards. Addressing the meeting, she said that cleanliness was an ongoing process that required serious efforts Meanwhile, the commissioner inspected public health engineering office and took stock of department’s activities.
Talking about ban on polythene bags and disposables, civic body officials said that information regarding ban were being shared with denizens and violators would face strict legal action along with penalty. Meanwhile, deputy commissioner Yogendra Patel, health officers and health inspectors held a review meeting for processing compost from industrial waste. The officials said that industries that do not have composting units at their plants shall face strict legal action.
