Election commission (EC) instructed the officials to adopt transparency while discharging their duties during general election. The EC also instructed the district administration to keep reserve rooms for officials deputed on election duties. The administration was also instructed to setup at least one polling booth which will be solely operated by female officials. According to EC facilities of potable water, electricity, indicators, primary medication, ramps, mobile toilets and all necessary facilities shall be provided by the administration to the voters.
Inspection of Panchkroshi yatra route today
Divisional commissioner Ajit Kumar, IG Rakesh Gupta, collector Shashank Mishra, SP Sachin Atulkar and other officials concerned will inspect the route of Panchkroshi Yatra on Saturday. The 118 km long yatra will start from April 29 and will last till May 3 in which thousands of devotees are expected to participate.
