Ujjain: Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal asked the business bodies of the city to get registered with the civic body for installation their advertisement hoardings and flexes across the city. She also instructed the officials concerned to take necessary action for implementation of the directions. The commissioner was taking a meeting on advertisement policy of revenue department of the civic body on Tuesday. She told officers to install a counter for registration and providing guidance to traders and manufacturers for their promotional advertisement. She also instructed to implement a well organised advertisement policy.
She asked the officials to prepare a plan for installation advertisement hoarding on civic body related buildings like public toilets, community toilets, public places and other locations under the civic body administration. She told that without permission installation of advertisement hoardings and flexes or any kind of advertisement on the government buildings and public places is an offence under the Madhya Pradesh Out-Door Media Rules 2017. The registration will be valid for three years, she added.
The commissioner told that for existing advertisement, the business owners should apply for registration immediately within one week, to ward off penalties and other legal actions. Meanwhile the commissioner also paid her visit on Tuesday at garbage transfer station located at Gaughat and gave necessary instruction for segregation of garbage to the concerned officials.
