Ujjain: Promptly recover property tax from evaders

Ujjain: Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal getting tough to property tax evader, instructed officials concerned to promptly recover property tax from tax evaders, she also told them to attach the property in case the tax is not paid inspite of serving appeals and notices. Pal told officials that albeit the land owners are cooperating but there are still some defaulters who are not paying their due tax after several reminders. She asked the officials to start legal formalities to attach the properties of such tax evaders.

Rs 8K fine collected from litter bugs

Ujjain municipal corporation charged penalties of Rs 8000 from shopkeepers and marriage garden owner. Health officer Purushottam Dube and the UMC gang charged Rs 4000 from shop owners located in Agar Road area and also charged Rs 4250 from a marriage garden owner. Commissioner Pal once again appealed the denizens to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness in the city and to not use the banned polythene bags to ward of any legal action.
