Ujjain: Proctor and head of Hindi Department, Vikram University, professor Shailendra Kumar Sharma was felicitated recently with ‘Abhinav Shabd Shilpi Alankaran-2019’ for his unparallel contribution for development and proliferation of Hindi language.
Chief guest Law Minister PC Sharma, journalist Vijaydutt Shreedhar, state Congress spokesperson Anand Taran awarded Professor Sharma with certificate, shawl and shreefal during programme held in Manas Bhavan, Bhopal. Shailendra Kumar Sharma has produced several research works on traditional languages, literature, languages, Hindi poetry, traditional drama of state ‘Mach’, Malwi language and Simhastha fair. He wrote, compiled and edited more than 30 books besides 300 research papers and more than 800 reviews on arts and culture. He also participated in numerous national and international conferences, symposium and discussion programmes.
