Ujjain: With organisers busy giving final shape to artist Sapna Choudhary and Arshi Khan dance show on February 23 at Dussehra Maidan, few organisations have started opposing it.
TAKE OF OPPONENTS
Opposers claim that the show is being organised at Dussehra Maidan of the religious city. Besides, tickets are being sold at high rate ranging from Rs 300 to Rs 3000. Lucky draws and charity too would be held. However, Swarnim Bharat Manch has opposed Sapna Choudhary show. Manch threatened to gherao SP office under the leadership of seers on February 19, if permission was granted to the show.
Manch convener Dinesh Shrivastava sought ban on the show claiming that Sapna Choudhary has already insulted Ravidas society. Terming her as a vulgar dancer, he claimed that she was spreading hate among different sections of the society. Rejecting the event as a cultural show, they said that the duo would not be allowed to perform in Mahakal’s city.
TAKE OF ORGANISERS
Organisers have denied rumours regarding the show and categorically refuted allegation of black marketing of tickets. In fact, they assured that no activity that would impact Ujjain’s status as religious and cultural city would be undertaken. They said that a part of the money earned from the function would be donated to Police Welfare Society Fund and another to Samajik Seva Sansthan.
Besides, entertainment tax too would be paid. According to hosts Anuj Bhomia and Dhami Singh, the show was being organised to give a new identity to Ujjain so that in future companies that organise such shows in big cities like Mumbai, Indore, Delhi also opt for Ujjain
