Ujjain: Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal advised the denizens to clear property tax dues to ward off legal action. Zone offices will remain open from 9 am till March 31 for felicitating residents to pay their tax. Defaulters will have to face legal action if they do not clear their property by March 31, the commissioner said.
Additional commissioner reviews poll assignments
Municipal additional commissioner and election nodal officer Manoj Pathak held a review meeting to take stock of election assignments. Pathak instructed the officials to inspect all polling booths and check arrangements of furniture, lighting, drinking water, tents and maintenance.
Pathak also took a meeting with public health engineering officials to review collection of water tax. Meanwhile, EVM machines were demonstrated at government girls’ degree college on Tuesday by civic body officials. They also demonstrated VVPAT machines and inspired the students for casting their votes.
