Ujjain: A poll preparatory meeting of all nodal officials was taken by collector Shashank Mishra on Friday at Simhastha fair authority office. At the meeting the collector told the officers to discharge their duties with honesty and diligence according to instruction of election commission. The nodal officials will be accountable for providing pure potable water, lighting arrangements, medical facility, toilets, furniture, queue arrangements and other necessary arrangements for voters and staffers, he added. During the meeting additional collector Rishav Gupta, ADM RP Tiwari and other officials concerned were present in the meeting.
Mishra also took the time limit meeting of department heads. He instructed them to keep their routine work and assignments updated and pendency in work shall not be tolerated. The collector expressed ire on department heads who did not attend the meeting and instructed the officials concerned to issued the show cause notices to the absentees. The collector also reviewed the arrangements of drinking water supplies in various areas of the city during the meeting.
