Ujjain: Poll din ends, city to vote on Sunday

Ujjain: Election for Ujjain-Alot parliamentary constituency will be held on Sunday in which 1659643 voters will cast their votes. The election materials will be distributed the polling officials on Saturday. In view of general election under the direction of election commission and district police administration local police, paramilitary forces, CISF and CRPF personnel took out a flag march across the city to maintain law and order situation during the election. On this occasion ASP Neeraj Pande, Pramod Sonkar and other senior officials were present. Collector and district election official Shashank Mishra, SP Sachin Atulkar and additional collector Rishav Gupta convened a press conference at Brihaspati Bhawan on Friday in this regard and shared the information with the media.

The electioneering din ended on Friday evening and the election material will be distributed to polling officials by the district administration at Government Engineering College on Saturday from 8 am. The administration informed that for every assembly there a special colour code has been assigned for distribution of election material to the polling agents. According to officials, Ujjain South has the maximum numbers of polling booths while Barnagar and Tarana have lesser polling booths. For Ujjain-Alot constituency the election commission established 2066 polling booths out in which Ujjain (South) has 291 and Tarana and Barnagar separately have 232 booths.
