Ujjain: Police rescue woman held hostage for 11 days

Ujjain: A man allegedly kept a woman hostage for 11 days in Dhanch Bhawan area. She was rescued by Chimanganjmandi police on Thursday.

According to Chimanganjmandi police, local people informed them about the woman who was screaming for help. The police team reached the spot and freed her. In her statement, she introduced herself as Malti of Amethi (UP). According to the victim, she came in contact with one Sachin Tiwari, who assured her to send to her husband, Roshan Tiwari, who lives in Gujarat.

The woman further said that in spite of sending her to her husband, Sachin locked her in the room at knife-point for 11 days. On the basis of her statement, the police arrested Sachin and called her husband. Police also registered a case against Sachin and started interrogation.
