Ujjain: Mahashivratri would be celebrated with full religious zeal on Monday. Ahead of the festival divisional commissioner Ajeet Kumar, IG Rakesh Gupta, collector Shashank Mishra and SP Sachin Atulkar visited Shri Mahakaleshwar temple and took stock of arrangements. ADM GS Dabar, additional collector Awadhesh Sharma, UDA CEO Abhishek Dube, ASP Neeraj Pandey and other officials were also present. Officials visited Kartikey Mandapam, Ganesh Mandap, and Nandi Hall.
Barricades were also reviewed and necessary suggestions were given by Ajit Kumar in view of expected heavy crowd on the day of festival. The officials said that ensuring swift entry of pilgrims would be top priority.
Shri Mahakaleshwar temple management committee (MTMC) gave detailed information about barricading arrangements in temple premises. Health facilities will also be provided for the pilgrims the commissioner said.
Manmahesh look of lord Shiva attracts pilgrims
During Shiv Navratri, the Shivlingam is being decorated in different look. On the sixth day lord Shiva was decorated in Mahmahesh look which mesmerised devotees. Abhishek and special worship were also performed.
Triveni Museum to organise Kala Archana Mahotsav
Triveni museum run by state cultural department will organise Kala-Archana Mahotsava on Saturday Sunday and Monday at 7.30pm. Renowned artists would perform in the mahotsava. The programme would be inaugurated by health education and ayush minister Dr Vijay Lakshmi Sadho. On the first day, Shiv Prasang will be staged in Maach style by Sudhir Sankhala and his group later Payal Yevle will perform Bharatnatyam. On Sunday Kathak dance will be performed by Prafullsingh Gehlot and singer Shobha Choudhary will present classical vocal. On Monday Odishi dance will be staged by Ranjana Gohar and her group which will be followed by semi classical vocal by Jaishri Savagunji and her group. A panorama based on lord Shiva will also be displayed in the museum.
