Ujjain: On third day of ongoing 64th National School Baseball Championship on Wednesday, teams fought hard to secure place in semi-finals. Mentor of Baseball Association and secretary of state association Jasraj Mehta and deputy director sports RK Paliwal, SGFI observer Suresh Sharma and field official Mahesh Seni encouraged players during league matches.
During the league matches, Telangana defeated Punjab 8-5, and Gujarat defeated Andhra Pradesh 8-7. In quarterfinals, Haryana beat Maharashtra 15-5 in boy’s category and in girl’s category, Haryana defeated Gujarat 7-6 and Chhattisgarh beat Maharashtra 12-2 and secured berth in semi-finals.
RK Paliwal also announced T-shirt for teams who secure first, second and third position in the competition. Publicity committee’s Amitoj Bhargava said that semi-finals of both boys and girls categories would be played on Thursday from 9.30 am at sports arena, Mahananda Nagar.
