Ujjain: Vikram and Vishwamitra Award recipient, technical expert of Mallakhamb Dr Ashish Mehta has been appointed umpire for the first international championship by World Mallakhamb Mahasangh which will be held in Mumbai from February 16.
Only Dr Mehta has qualified from MP. Madhya Pradesh Mallakhambb Association president Manohar Singh Dodiya and treasurer Manish Shankar Joshi said over 250 players and officials from America, Japan, England, Germany, China, France, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Spain, Dubai, Iran and Bangladesh will participate in the event.
