Ujjain: The lawyers’ fraternity in the city is keeping a close vigil on the happenings of Lok Sabha Elections-2019. Besides attending the courts, they can be seen taking keen interest on poll related issues. FREE PRESS team approached some of them to gain insights into their opinion. Excerpts

“If we take the issue of national security then the retaliation of Pulwama attack is very appreciable. I would praise these types of action taken by the government. Government should take such action very quickly. Still there is terrorism in our country which should be eliminated in upcoming time. Moreover, national security comes among the major issues of our country and so it should be handled with care.”
NEELIMA MORE, 42

“Our county is running very efficiently. The changes which will be taken or implemented by the government would ultimately affect our country’s progress both in positive and negative way. I don’t have any type of relations with any party neither BJP nor Congress. The party which provokes each other’s character negatively will cast worst effect on our country’s goodwill. If this situation persists in the country then it would create a bad impression in the world that’s why this sort of malpractice should be stopped. Vote should be given by everyone because it is our fundamental right.”
PREM JOSHI, 59

“My opinion is that the progress that has been achieved in 5 years should continue in coming years, too, so that our country which had gained prominence in previous years should become more progressive.”
ANUP ACHALIYA, 36

“Many dynamic changes took place in last 5 years. The amendment of Article 497 will increase the number of crimes rather than decreasing the crime rate in our country. As women are free to exercise their rights which would perhaps be misused by them.”
NEETI ACHARYA, 35

“Whichever party will win whether Congress or BJP they should work for the favour of people and economy. Women are gaining confidence to go out for work. Now more women are becoming lawyers than before. There should be fair trial and police should work properly and fairly.”
MAMTA SOLANKI, 40

“The implementation of law should be free and fair. Everyone should get justice. There should be no discrimination in the field of law. In fact women should be given more chances to participate in various issues. When it comes to national security or any battle win by our soldiers there should not be any statement by rival party. At that time they should stand all together as a whole.”
SMRITI RAJPUT, 36

“Education and employment are the major issues of India. In fact government had tried its best to reduce unemployment rate, but it still prevails. Government should find some typical measures and should redress it from grassroots level. Appreciable actions like surgical strike should be taken whenever required.”
SANTOSH MALVIYA, 42

“The very first thing is after implementing so many policies still there are lakh and millions of unemployed person in our country. Modi had cracked down terrorism in our country by killing them in their own backyard and thus became successful in creating a good goodwill of our country. However, government is unsuccessful in removing unemployment. I found that all the parties are busy in proving each other wrong by resorting to even character assassination. I would suggest they still should do something productive for our country rather than wasting time. This would result in progress of our country.”
RAKESH VYAS, 51

“Certain policies that had been adopted or implemented by the government after Pulwama attack upset me. In fact not only me, but it is inappropriate for the nation as well. Now there is no major problem of unemployment, all are employed but people are fighting for government job. Access to facilities has been given by government to unemployed like giving some more than lakhs of rupees. If a poor person will get that money easily then why he will work, rather he will enjoy his life. A person should get money and job according to his capabilities and competence that is meritocracy. “
VIRENDRA SINGH PARIHAR, 52

“The action against Pulwama case came instantaneously which is very good and appreciable. In fact such type of action should be implemented in our country. The government is the one which uses its power for doing work that is favourable for our country and this type of government should be chosen or formed in upcoming years. Different types of policies like Dindayal Yojana, pension Yojana and all is appreciable. I would like to expect some greater implementation for women in our country. Women are still harassed in various sectors. They still considered weak.”
APEKSHA SHUKLA, 33
