Ujjain: The judicial work at different courts was majorly affected as lawyers boycotted the routine work on Tuesday in support of their different demands. On this occasion lawyers led by Bar Association president Pramod Choubey and secretary Om Sarwan submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister to an officer.
In this memorandum they demanded library, e-Library, sitting room for advocates, common room for women lawyers, toilets, facility of sty fund for 5 years, amendment in legal service authority so that they can be conducted by advocates not by judicial officers, appointment of advocates in different tribunal, commission and forum, safety for advocates by legislating Advocate protection act and for their welfare, sitting arrangements for new advocates, assistance money of Rs 25000 in ailment cases and exgratia of Rs 5 lakh in death cases, pension and insurance to the advocates and their families. Those present during memorandum submission included Kaushal Parmar, Kamal Kishore Tiwari, Akhlaq Qureshi, Alok Sharma, Sunil Bhati, Shrvan Sharma, Mitesh Bhargava, Yogesh Dodiya and Ajit Verma among others.
