Ujjain: Kasturba Gandhi was remembered on her birth anniversary on Thursday. On this occasion a programme was organised at Bhartiya Gyanpeet College, academic director Dr Girish Pandya informed that well know educationist Dr Uma Vajpayee was the chief guest of the programme. Addressing the programme Dr Vajpayee told that Kasturba Gandhi did the equal struggle as Mahatma Gandhi, she was also a freedom fighter, Vajpayee added.
The programme was presided over by professor Dr Premlata Chutail. Chutail said Kasturba is an inspiration for girls and women who kept her identity alive along with her duty as a woman in the family. The guests also dedicated a book authored by Dr Devendra Joshi on Kasturba on this occasion. Dr Urmi Sharma also shared her thoughts on this occasion. The welcome speech was delivered by Krishnmangalsingh Kulshreshtha and the programme was conducted by Amrita Kulshreshtha.
