Ujjain: Inebriated teacher handed over to police

Ujjain: Villagers of Harnawada on Monday caught a drunkard teacher and handed over to police. The villagers had earlier lodged complaint with education department against the teacher who used to come school in inebriated state and create ruckus of the teacher but no action was taken.

According to Bolasa village Sarpanch Ashish Pandya, teacher Jagdish Soni is a resident of Dewas and posted in government primary school in village Harnawada. He is a habitual drunker and often creates ruckus in the school. On Monday the villagers brought the teacher to the Sarpanch and made complaints against him.

Pandya informed that he tried to persuade the teacher but under influence of alcohol he did not pay attention to him. Later, the Sarpanch made a video in which he recorded statements of the students and parents before handing him over to the police for further action.
