Ujjain: Ujjain municipal organised its weekly event ‘sair-sapata on Sunday in which hundreds of boys, girls, women, men and children participated. The event was organised in Ankapat area. According to sources on this occasion some miscreants also took part in the event and teased the women and girls.
Jiwaji Ganj police confirmed that some complaints of eve teasing were received over phone. The police told that in future to curb such incidents more cops will be deployed in the area where the event will take place. Youths during event took part into various traditional games like rope-pulling and langdi-race, while street vendors were also seen with savoury snacks along the roads early in the morning. The civic body organised seesaw swings at the venue.
