Ujjain: Ten prime trade unions of the country have resolved to support such a political party in the ensuing General Elections-2019 which will work to protect the interests of labourers. Hind Majdoor Sabha (HMS), one of the main trade unions, has decided to launch a massive campaign in this regard to make people aware about their motive.
The State executive committee of the HMS met at Western Railway Employees Union branch here on Sunday took on record various activities and future planning. HMS organising secretary SS Sharma said representatives from across the state took part in the meeting, which was presided over by Hariom Suryawanshi.
The key speaker HMS general secretary Govind Sharma exhorted the executive members to make the public awareness drive successful. HMS leader Vinay Singh read the 12-point demand charter which prominently included fixing the minimum wages of unorganised sector labourers at Rs 18,000 per month.
SB Shrivastava, Nem Singh, Pushpendra, Prahalad Sharma and Jagram Dikshit represented the railways, defense, HEL and Grasim, Nagda. Sima Kaushik, Prabha Sharma, Madhuri Sharma and Kiran Sheikh represented the women labourers. They were welcomed by Ravindra Kumar Upadhyaya, Pankaj Sexena, Dilip Singh Surawat among others.
