Ujjain: Finance co agent stabbed, Rs 15,000 and mobile looted

Ujjain: Over six bike borne miscreants looted Rs 15, 000 cash and a mobile phone from a private finance services collection agent in the broad day light incident here on Saturday. Dewasgate police informed that victim identified as 23-year-old Rahul son of Ratanlal Suryavanshi, resident of village Narendrakheda under Jharda police station, is a collection agent in Freeganj located GS Finance Services.

At about 3.30 pm, he got down from a private passenger bus near Sulabh Complex located in front of the Chamunda Mata Mandir Chouraha. Meanwhile, over six unknown youths came there on two motorbikes approached him and asked him to sit on their bike so that they can drop him to his office. They made him sit in the middle of a bike while two bikes surrounded him on the way.

As soon as the accused took the victim in opposite direction of his office, he protested, but was thrashed and overpowered. He was taken to Kshipra River bridge located behind Hotel Shanti Palace. Here, the accused snatched away Rahul’s purse containing Rs 15,000 and also robbed his mobile phone.

When he tried to oppose their act, the miscreants stabbed him thrice on his back and fled. The victim was rushed to the Civil Hospital, where his condition was reported to be out of danger. TI MS Mourya said a case under Section 392 of IPC has been registered and a massive manhunt has been launched to nab the culprits, who were of young age.
