Ujjain: Mayor Meena Jonwal attended a review meeting here on Monday and instructed officials to provide better facilities at crematorium. She also took stock of pending construction work there and told the officials for speedy completion of work. Jonwal said flooring of the condolence meeting hall, construction of concrete road in the premises and other works must be completed in scheduled time.
She also instructed them to improve parking arrangements in the crematorium premises. Cleanliness, potable water and lighting arrangements at crematorium were also discussed. Executive Engineer Rambabu Sharma, health minister BS Mehte, zonal officer Sunil Jain and other officials were present.
Municipal Commissioner reviews vehicle arrangements for garbage collection
On Monday municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal reviewed arrangements of garbage collection vehicles in a meeting. She instructed the concerned official to provide details of the arrangements of the vehicles to her and asked to use 30 additionally received vehicles where they are required.
A ward wise-detail of required vehicles is instructed to prepare by the commissioner to improve cleanliness arrangements. The concerned officials were told to tally stock of the vehicles physically and ensure their transportation ward wise. Additional commissioner Manoj Pathak, deputy commissioner Yogendra Patel, Sunil Shah, superintending engineer Pradeep Nigam, executive engineer Rambabu Sharma, zonal officer Manoj Rajwani PRO Raees Nizami and other senior officials attended the meeting.
