Ujjain: In view of Somvati Amavasya festival, which falls on next Monday, collector Shashank Mishra held a review meeting of department heads concerned and instructed them to ensure all facilities for the pilgrims at Ramghat and other ghats of river Kshipra.
According to the officials, principal bath of the pilgrims will be held at Somteerth Kund where showers will be installed to provide hassle-free bath facility to the devotees. ADM GS Dabar, ASP Abhijeet Ranjan, administrator Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee Awdhesh Sharma and other officials were present during the meeting.
In the meeting, the collector underlined arrangements for cleanliness, lighting, changing rooms and potable water and instructed the officials concerned to ensure them. According to spokesperson, control rooms will be set up at Somteertha and Ranoji ki Chaatri areas and to control mob 16 CCTV cameras will be installed. The collector also asked health department to get ready to deal with any untoward incident.
Commissioner inspects horticulture office, nursery
Divisional Commissioner Ajeet Kumar on Wednesday inspected the divisional office of horticulture department and its model nursery. He also enquired about various schemes of the department. Deputy Commissioner Pawan Jain, KS Grujar, divisional joint director finance and accounts JS Bhadoriya and Subhash Shrivastava were also present during the inspection.
