Ujjain: Cloud cover leads to fall in mercury level

Ujjain: City woke up to a foggy morning on Friday with cold wind blowing across the city. Snowfall in northern and hilly parts of the country coupled with rain in Delhi and Chandigarh led to cold wave like condition in Malwa region. On Friday, the Sun came out from behind the clouds at 10 am. However, it lacked the intensity.

Visibility was also low forcing vehicle riders to opt for front lights. Shops opened late and denizens were draped in woollens. According to Government Jiwajiraro Observatory’s weatherman maximum temperature was recorded at 22 degrees which was 3 degrees below the normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 12.5 degrees. Relative humidity remained at 89% at and 63%. The speed of wind was 8 kilometre per hour.
