Ujjain: Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal on Tuesday instructed officials to maintain cleanliness at all approaching roads to various temples to the city. Pal and contractor of the outsourcing agency visited Shani Temple, Kal Bhairav, Siddhavat and Mangalnath temples and took a stock of cleanliness. Pal lashed out at officials on finding litter around Shani temple, she ordered that dustbins be placed at the temple. She instructed for removal garbage from Mangalnath temple area. Officials were also instructed to clean immersing water body at Kal Bhairav temple and Siddhavat temple. Shopkeepers around the temple premises were instructed to maintain cleanliness and to use the dustbins.
Civic body removes posters and banners of political parties
As the Model Code Of Conduct is in force after the declaration of general election dates, civic body gang started political posters, hoardings, banners and other promotional materials in Shanti Ngar, Harifatak, Nanakheda, Freeganj, Doulatganj, Tower chowk Gopal mandir areas and other areas of the city.
Sulabh complex mgmt penalised
On finding lapses in cleanliness during the inspection the civic body officials imposed Rs 5000 cash penalty on the local management of Sulabh Complex on Tuesday. Deputy commissioner Yogendra Patel and health official BS Mehte were also present during the inspection.
