Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated its foundation day with fanfare on Saturday. Media in-charge Sachin Saxena and co-media-in-charge Dinesh Jatwa said that a function was organised under the leadership of district BJP head Vivek Joshi at Lokshakti Bhawan.
BJP national vice president Prabhat Jha was the chief guest of the programme. In his address Jha remembered ex-prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and said, “This is the first election without Atalji, during 2014 election he was alive but was taking bed rest.” He said that BJP was founded on a very special day on which the Hindu new year and navratri starts.
He appreciated the contribution of ex-MP Dr Satyanarayan Jatiya and senior BJP leader Babulal Jain. He also praised the work of PM Narendra Modi. Before attending the programme Jha pay obeisance to lord Mahakal. Dr Jatiya also addressed the party workers and congratulated on the onset of Hindu New Year and Gudi Padava.
BJP’s contender Anil Phiroziya addressing the programme appreciated the party workers’ contribution and admired the welfare policies of union government. The foundation day programme was also addressed by MLA Paras Jain, Mohan Yadav, and Babulal Jain. The programme was attended by Diwakar Natu, Anil Jain, Om Jain, Ashok Prajapat, Roop Pamnani, Sachin Saxena and other party leaders and workers. The programme was conducted by district general secretary Suresh Giri and vote of thank was extended by Rajendra Jhalani.
Absence of hoarding, banner irks Jha
The national vice president BJP Jha got angry as no poster or banner was placed anywhere in the city on the occasion of the Foundation Day of the party. Addressing the workers he said “Had it been a birth day of any leader, many hoardings would have been placed across the city, but on the foundation day of our mother organisation BJP, not a single hoarding was placed in the city.”
