Ujjain: Appoint devout Hindu as MTMC head

Ujjain: Paramhans Avadheshpuri Maharaj wrote to Chief Minister Kamal Nath for appointing a dedicated religious person as the head of Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee (MTMC). In his letter he stated that an additional collector rank person should be full time administrator of the committee.

He expressed his views and said if a collector is made MTMC’s head then most of his time is spent on looking after arrangements of the temple consequently he is not able to work efficiently to develop the district and implement beneficiary schemes of the state government and simultaneously temple arrangements are also affected.

The saint noted that other projects of the temple are also affected as the collector has to involve daily in other administrative arrangements. He told that to stop corruption in the temple and its other projects and for a properly managed temple, the administrator should be a person other than a collector.
