Going tough to private school management against forcing the parents to purchase study material from a particular shop, the additional collector Rishabh Gupta indicated to take punitive action in such cases in a meeting of private schools’ principals and directors.
The meeting was convened on Saturday at Simhasth fair authority office. Addressing the meeting additional collector Rishabh Gupta instructed the principals and directors of CBSE schools not to force parents to purchase course books and note books from a particular shop. He reminded that the district administration imposed Section 144 for such acts. Gupta further told that note books bearing the name of the school is also banned. The administration also banned the selling of logos of the names of the schools form the uniform shops.
The additional collector also instructed the shopkeepers not to sell set of notebooks and books together. The collector expressed his unhappiness for harassing parents unnecessarily. The collector told that violation of the rules will attract legal punitive action against the school management as well as the shopkeepers. Gupta named Virgin marry school, Gyansagar School, Oxford Junior college, and some other schools for purchasing extra books for primary classes. The meeting was attended by district education officer Sanjay Goyal, tehsildars and other concerned officials.
Randomization of EVMs conducted
The first randomization of EVM machines at Brihaspati Bhawan. On this occasion Collector and district election officer Shashank Mishra, additional collector Rishabh Gupta, deputy election officer Shailee Kanash and other concerned officer were present.
The collector asked the representatives of the political parties to note the numbers of VVPAT, ballot units and control units. The representatives gave advices to improve polling process, while collector explained the rules of the polling to the political parties. The collector the machines will be transferred to strong rooms on Monday hence all the recognised political parties’ representatives must be present there.
Goswami made deputy administrator of MTMC
Collector Shashank Mishra appointed probationary deputy collector Ashutosh Goswami as the deputy administrator of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee (MTMC).
