Ujjain: The crime branch police on Saturday arrested six persons for gambling. ASP Pramod Sonkar said they received a tip-off that a gambling is going on at a place near Sunderdham Ashram and Mangalnath temple.
On reaching at the spot, police found some persons indulged in gambling and arrested them. They were identified as Purushottam Yadav (42), Surendra Yadav (38), both residents of Laal Bai Phool Bai Marg; Sum it Sharma (31), a resident of Nizatpura; Ajay Joshi (45), a resident of Namdarpura; Dinesh Sharma (47), a resident of Urdupura and Aashish Lohariya (48), a resident of Nayapura. Gambling materials including eight mobiles, one set of cards and a cash of Rs 81730 were recovered from their possession.
