Mumbai: The Chiley family who were featured in the rally of Raj Thackeray, the chief of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, are also featured on a page called Paksitan defence alleged Vinod Tawde, the education minister. Tawde further claimed, the family was portrayed as a typical middle class Indian family.
Tawde further clarified, Pakistan defence page is not a authentic Pakistani defence ministry site. In the Pune rally held by Raj, he had brought this family to the stage saying, they had not agreed to be featured in the ‘Modi hai toh mumkeen hai’ campaign.

Raj said, the photos were randomly used by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s IT cell for the promotion of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and his government. Sambuddha Mitra Mustafi had interviewed Chiley, who he claimed were MNS workers. The photograph was taken at that time and the Chiley family had agreed for their picture to be taken.
Tawde further said, Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party do not react to anything that the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan says, only Raj seems to react. “Moreover, is there a connect between Raj and Pakistan, there should be an inquiry. Raj reacts to Imran and he in turn becomes a hero in Pakistan,” said Tawde.
