Lok Sabha elections 2019: EC tells mall, theatre owners to give a holiday or give at least two hours to its employees on polling day

Mumbai: The Election Commission (EC) of India has issued a circular for all states stating, where the Lok Sabha election are being conducted, “every eligible voter should be able to cast their voting rights”.

According to the circular, it has asked the state ECs to inform the owners of malls, theatres, hotels, shopping centres, manufacturing units and other outlets, should declare a holiday on the polling day; or give at least two hours to their employees to enable them to go and vote.
