Pune: The manifesto of the Congress party in Pune was released by women, first-time voters, and chowkidars, in Mahatma Phule Wada on Tuesday. This manifesto is different from the party’s official manifesto, which was released in New Delhi on April 2. The Congress-led alliance candidate Mohan Joshi will contest against Girish Bapat of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
The Congress manifesto released on April 2 stated that the party would repeal the sedition law. The Pune manifesto includes the promise of making it a safe, developed, green and happy city and make it a development model.
The Congress has also promised employment to one person from every household, women’s security, smooth and regulated traffic and an increase in the number of educational institutions since students from all over the world come to Pune to study.
