Mumbai: The Bharatiya Janata Party-Shiv Sena’s 2019 Lok Sabha candidate from Mumbai North East, Manoj Kotak, claimed his ‘prachar rath’ (campaign vehicle), was vandalised and the driver was threatened by rival partymen (whose names were not disclosed) in Mankhurd-Shivaji Nagar on Tuesday. He was not in the vehicle when the incident occurred.
The vehicle bore pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which were slashed with blades, alleged BJP workers. Following the incident, Kotak has asked Mankhurd-Shivaji Nagar Police to file a complaint against unknown persons.

According to a letter sent by Kotak to the police station, by this act of vandalism, these men from an unknown party are trying to create a law and order situation in his constituency. He also asked the Election Commission of Mulund to look into the issue.
