Mumbai: When the Lok Sabha (LS) polls were announced, many candidates from the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) have switched to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). NCP leader Ajit Pawar told the media once the LS polls are over, he would reveal why these turncoats had done so, with proof. “I provide documentary evidence showing which leader has joined the BJP and for what reason,” Pawar told a news channel.
“Not all have changed parties after being denied a ticket in their own party. Some have been pressured by the government and some are reeling under a mountain of debt, which has forced them to take this step. Many have quit the democratic front government and we will soon get to the root of it,” he said.
