For that vibrant beach vibe this summer’s, Preeti Dahiya offers the following make-up tips which can surely turned heads with you fabulous appearance and at the same time add glamour to the beach look. She says, “Many of us don’t bother with make-up especially during the hot summers while hitting the pool. In fact, this will in turn makes our face more vulnerable to the damaging effect of water stress and UV rays. With no barrier between your skin and the water, UV radiations and the chemicals in the water can directly sink into your skin. To prevent this never step out with a bare or raw face.”
-Before you apply any make up, slather on a light moisturiser, follow this up with a generous coat of sunscreen (with a SPF of at least 20).Give it at least 20 minutes to soak in-it needs to dry properly so that anything put on top won’t slide off.
-Dab a little of a silicon-based primer to your eyelids and lips. This will helps your lipstick and eye makeup last throughout the day.
-It better to avoid applying anything creamy or greasy—like a foundation or concealer, after all its going to smudge
almost instantly once you dive in a pool. If you absolutely can’t imagine going without coverage, invest in a good quality water resistant and water proof foundation and concealer. Apply a liberal amount of it on your face and blend it well before hitting the pool or beach. If you need to cover a blemish, dark circles or redness apply a full cover concealer for a beautiful, natural coverage that will last even when you are busy submerging under water.
-Accentuate your sun kissed looked with an oil free bronzer that can withstand the humid weather. Choose a bronzer in a shade that looks like a natural tan and at the same time enhances your skin’s color. Dust the bronzer on your eyelids, just above your cheekbones, and on the apples of your cheeks, plus a little on your forehead, temples, and chin. Follow with a tiny bit of pink powder blush on your cheeks.
-Summers doesn’t always have to be subtle. Prep your eyes by using water-resistant color eye shadow. To apply use an eyebrow brush and dust a little waterproof cream or powder eye shadow over each eyelid.
-Don’t forget to lay emphasis on your eye brows. You can choose a water proof brow powder that stays even while you dive. The waterproof formula is great for filling in eyebrows with natural definition or subtly emphasizing key points.
– For a perfect cat eye streak a waterproof, silicon-based eyeliner right above your lashes.
-For a dark glamorous lashes, use your normal mascara as usual and then apply waterproof based mascara on top of it as a coat.
-And last but not the least consider using a versatile lip stain- something that works equally well on cheeks as it does on the lips. You can also use a matte lipstick in bright colors such as cherry red or vibrant rich fuchsia, which will flatter tan and pink cheeks as well. For your rosy cheeks paint a little bit of lip satin onto two of your fingers and then tap it onto your cheeks. Start in the middle of the cheeks, patting outwards so that you get a rosy flush that doesn’t look fake or smeared.
– There is no denying from the fact that, for a complete beach look it is important to incorporate a few trendy beach or accessories. And these includes an eye catching swimsuit that flatters and accentuates your figure, a large pair of sun glasses for the eyes, a sturdy bag to carry all of your beach accessories, a hat to shade you from the sun, and a chic scarf. It is important to invest in minimal jewelry like a beaded necklace, long colored chain with some semi precious stone, bracelets etc. It would be a good idea for your hair to add some colorful hair accessories in the form of hairpins with big floral motif.
