Amritsar-based social media influencer Gagan Sethi has garnered a lot of popularity on social media. Ask him what role social media plays for aspiring artistes, and Gagan says, “People cannot live without social media today. Be it photo-sharing portals or ones where people express their opinions, all of them hold a lot of importance in people’s lives. Social media gives young talented artistes a platform to showcase their skills. From a musician to a painter — anyone can channelise their strength and target their desired audience to showcase their talent.”
The musician has done a lot of work in the Punjabi music industry. He says, “I have worked with the biggest Punjabi stars. For instance, I got to work with Jasmin Sandles on the song Bottle Khol.” Besides the Punjabi music industry, Bollywood music also interests him. “Getting in Bollywood is my ultimate goal. The horizon of the Punjabi music industry has grown a lot and almost every Bollywood movie has a couple of Punjabi singers. So, I see a lot of opportunities coming my way,” says Gagan, who is a fan of singers Gurdas Maan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and B Praak.
