Ujjain: In a case of transferring money after taking ATM pin, Chimanganj Mandi police brought a anti-social from West Bengal (WB) on transit remand on Wednesday.
According to CSP Malkeet Singh, Surendra Dodiya resident of Indira Nagar was deprived of Rs 11,580 from his bank account after he provided his ATM code over phone call made by someone.
The victim lodged an FIR with the police.
The cyber cell disclosed that the amount was transferred through ‘Paytm’ application to the bank account of Mukesh son of Vipin Choudhary resident of Nalhati district Birbhum, West Bengal.
During interrogation the accused disclosed names of his accomplices. The accused also confessed to 10 incidents of cyber fraud. The police are arranging to send a team to West Bengal to nab the accomplices of the accused.
