Mumbai : Siddharth Suchde of Maharashtra and Sandeep Jangra of Delhi registered confident wins to enter the men’s fifth qualifying round, in the Otters Club 73rd Senior National Squash Championship, on Wednesday.

Suchde got past Aran Thawani 11-4, 11-4, 11-4, while Jangra halted Pranay Jain 11-8, 11-5, 11-6. Former Asian team gold and India under-19 world championship bronze winner Abhishek Pradhan also advanced following a 11-9, 11-7, 11-4 win over Abhishek Agarwal of JSW. Pradhan fashioned his third straight win over Agarwal following wins in the Khar Gymkhana and Goregaon Sports Club finals.

Top seed in the men’s qualifying round Gaurav Nandrajog of Delhi, Hiteshwar Singh Riar of Chandigarh and Adhitya Raghavan of Tamil Nadu were the other significant winners to roll into the fifth round along with Delhi’s Robin Mann Singh and the Adik brothers of the host club. Advait, the younger of the siblings, overcame India under-19 No. 10 Ajit Sharma of JSW 11-7, 11-8, 6-11, 12-10 in a thriller.
