With the theme “Unite the Nation with Meditation” ,Vishwa Nirmal Dharma (VND), dba Sahaja Yoga International, a non-profit organisation registered in the State of California in 1985, in United States of America (USA) has organised a one month “Love America Tour” to conduct free Sahaja Yoga workshops from 8th August to 3rd September. It has invited Sahaja Yoga Meditation practitioners from various countries.
As one of the invitees from India out of 150 SY practitioners registered, I have the opportunity to travel in USA to spread the message of love and the teachings of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi to the seekers. Five groups have been formed i.e. Midwest, East Coast, South East, South West and North West have been assigned various cities to visit and conduct workshop sessions with the help of the local collectives.
Young Sahaja boys and girls from around the world, who practice Sahaja Yoga Meditation are part of this program. They are specialised in explaining and giving self-realisations to the seekers. The First week of this tour is completed and positive response from the groups are being received. The cities selected to be covered by this program are Omaha, Minneapolis, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit, Washington DC, Richmond, Tri State Area, Boston, Dallas, Austin,Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Raleigh, San Francisco, Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake City and Denver.
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi visited the US several times in the eighties and gave numerous speeches on world peace at the United Nations for three consecutive years. In a public program in New York in 1981, Shri Mataji said, “The Vishuddhi Chakra is this America. And you are the people who are the cells of that Chakra which can be Awakened. You are the cells and you are to be awakened.
Once you are awakened, you can cure this center and the whole universe will be benefited by that. That is why I request you to understand your position in the whole cosmos of the Universe and the important and pivotal part position that you have, and the wider role that you have to play so that you pay attention to yourself, your development, your growth and you achieve your full maturity in Sahaja Yoga”.
Sahaja Yoga, a partner of UNESCO organised two meditation sessions on 14th August in Frederick which was attended by more than 60 seekers. Their response was positive, with numerous seekers describing a sense of peace and a relief from their stress.
