Mumbai : Rudra Rane of New English school (Bandra east) and Hrissha Dubey of Jamnabai Narsee (Juhu) secured comfortable wins to ease into the quarter-finals of the girls’ under -14 group in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) inter-school badminton tournament hosted by Bombay Gymkhana and Badminton Gurukul under the aegis of Greater Mumbai Badminton Association (GMBA). The top seeded Rudra outclassed Shravani Kumari while, Hrissha overpowered Adita Rahane with identical scores of 15-3.
In the other matches of this group, Kaya Parekh of J.B. Vachha high school (Dadar), Samriddhi Kshatriya of Rajhans Vidyalaya (Andheri), Dhwani Shetty of S.M. Shetty (Powai) advanced with convincing wins.
