London : World number two Roger Federer swept aside compatriot Stan Wawrinka in three sets to set up a mouth-watering US Open summit clash against top seed Novak Djokovic at Flushing Meadows. The Swiss maestro smashed 10 aces and 29 winners as he subdued Wawrinka 6-4, 6-3, 6-1 in a one-sided semi-final contest that lasted one hour and 32 minutes, the Guardian reported. Federer has not played in a final here since 2009 and will face Djokovic in the sixth of their finals this year as he appears to be in prime form to grab his 18th Grand Slam of his career. Meanwhile, world number one Djokovic cruised past the injured defending champion Marin Cilic 6-0, 6-1, 6-2 to remain on course for his third major of the year.
