Jiddu Krishnamurthy had once said, “Do you know what it means to be sensitive? It means surely to have a tender feeling for things, to see an animal suffering and do something about it; to remove a stone from the path because so many bare feet would walk over it. To be sensitive is to feel for people, for birds, for flowers, for trees, not because they are yours but just because you are awake to the extraordinary beauty of things. Above all you want to help, to give and be part of the salvation!”
I must have told you the story of that famous football team, which won the championship trophy but as there was an ineligible player in the team, they returned the trophy. Everyone was amazed. Many argued that they deserved the win and were the real champions. The captain said, “By giving it back, we have won the freedom from guilt and become the real champion.” Everyone cannot be best in the world. Only one person can be the best. But none can prevent you if you try to become the best. The price of living is giving. To become integrated you have to connect the parts, give space and come together.
Life in itself has no intrinsic value. We have to add value to it. We have to decide whether our tenure or duration on this planet should be a privilege and joy or misery and despair. It is our choice, our life. We can make it bright or dark, but how? By giving away the treasure you have like goodness, love, compassion and joy which are of little value to you when not shared but of tremendous value to the recipient who is thirsting for it all the time.
If you hold your breath too long, you may become unconscious. The life-giving act of breathing requires you to exhale as much as you inhale. When you fill the world with a portion of your worth, you become replenished. When your bank account is high, you feel rich and prosperous. If an emergency wipes out your investments you feel poor. Remember that you have not changed: you are the same person. By aligning with your source from which all channels flow, you remain, prosperous, regardless of your circumstances.
