Micromax launches new-age flagship smartphone YUTOPIA

New Delhi: Packed with a 21 MP rear camera, 3000mAh battery and a host of new-age features, Micromax’s YU Televentures on Thursday launched its flagship smartphone priced at Rs.24,999. Branded as the world’s most powerful smartphone, Yu Yutopia comes with 5.2″ sharp WQHD IPS display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB DDR4 RAM and fingerprint scanner, the company said in a statement.

“YUTOPIA is a revolutionary product that is packed with the compelling ‘Around Yu’ services, making the smartphone literally five years ahead of any other device,” said Rahul Sharma, founder, YU Televentures. “Around YU” has a suite of services including travel, food and entertainment rolled into one discovery window for the users.

The new personal assistant “Around YU” provides a seamless experience that simplifies and saves a user time and effort to switch between plethora of apps. YUTOPIA is equipped with a fingerprint scanner. Users can unlock the device with one of five stored fingerprints in less than half a second.

Additionally, the smartphone features an alert slider for quick access to custom notification settings. Unprecedented on an Android device, the alert slider can silence the device with a simple click.

YU has also introduced an interesting “Assured Upgrade Programm” that will give any customer buying YUTOPIA an option of an assured upgrade YUTOPIA 2 in the future.
Pre-booking for YUTOPIA began on Amazon from 2 p.m on Thursday and the shipping will start from December 26.
