Mumbai : Striker Mangesh Makhwana scored a fine hat-trick in leading Fishermen FC to a thumping 5-0 win against Rebels SC in a First Division fourth round encounter of the 15th Bandra West Football league, sponsored by Baba Siddique & Zeeshan Siddique and conducted by the BWFA (Bandra West Football Association) and played at the Dr. Norman Lewis Supari Talao, Municipal grounds. Mangesh received excellent support from teammate Geetesh Chimbaikar who netted the other two goals to seal Fishermen’s win.
Meanwhile, Fishermen FC youngsters also enjoyed a good outing as they blanked Olpers. FC by an identical 5-0 margin in a boys’ under-14 competition. Spearheading Fishermen’s attack was Joshua Almeida who slammed in two goals while Sohail Alisha, Sahil Kapse and Anish Mhadeye, all chipped in with one each to complete the victory. In another boys’ match, Ayush Kuliye struck the lone winning goal as Sea View SC got the better of Carmelites Crusaders by a narrow 1-0 margin.
