Ujjain : Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal convened a meeting of hotel and marriage garden’s owners on Wednesday and asked them to cooperate with Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC) in maintaining cleanliness in the city. Addressing the meeting, commissioner said that UMC’s efforts have been successful in maintaining cleanliness in the city with citizens’ help.
She also instructed hotel and marriage garden owners to get compost units installed by October 20 and warned of legal action if they failed to comply with it. She also assured residents that the Ujjain could soon be a three-star city only business houses back UMC’s cleanliness drive and install compost units. Compost units will enhance earnings of business houses. Deputy commissioner Yogendra Patel, health official BS Mehte, Vivek Jain, Raees Nizami, Purushottam Dube and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
