Bombay Muslims rally to hold Springfield 2-2

Mumbai : Bombay Muslims came into their own in the second period and scored twice to hold Springfield SC to a 2-2 draw in a Super Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2016-2017, and played at the Mumbai Football Arena, Shahaji Raje Bhosale Kreeda Sankul-BKLP (Andheri Sports Complex) on Saturday evening. Springfield SC made a bright promising start and with goals from Sujan S. in the 20th minute and Jabin P five minutes later went into the break with a solid 2-0 cushion. However, after switching ends, Bombay Muslims were a transformed lot and replied strong with two strikes through Afshaan Shaikh 62nd minute and Sachet Bhatt 82nd minute to share honours and a division of two points.
