BHOPAL: Home minister Bhupendra Singh replying to a question in the assembly on Wednesday said 24 minors were gang-raped and one girl was murdered in around 18 months in Sagar division. 2,247 women and 1,200 men have been gone missing in this period, he said. MLA Pratap Singh had raised the question that how many men, women and children have gone missing and how many minor girls have been gang raped in Sagar division since January 2015?
home minister Bhupendra Singh replied that the 22 women and 24 minor girls have been gang-raped, while one was murdered and one committed suicide.
The government has provided relief of more than Rs 13 lakhs eleven minor dalit girls and women who have been gang raped, Singh said.
In this period 2247 women and 1200 men, 423 minor boys and 884 minor girls have gone missing.The police have traced 389 boys and 649 girls, along with 1,232 women and 799 men.
