Mumbai : Aditya Desai put up fine show as Utpal Sanghavi beat Udayanchal by two matches to one in the boys under-17 semifinals of the DSO (Divisional Sports Office) All Mumbai (Taluka) inter-school u-17 badminton  tournament , at Goregaon Sports Club. The other semifinal between SM Shetty Bunt Sangh and Lilavati Podar  was a bit of disappointment as Vikhyat Bangera dominated against junior Parthiv Chhabria winning the opening singles 21-5. Later, Ameya  Joshi gave a similar treatment to Harsh to clinch a place in the final.

Gerald’ s brace in Savio’s win

Mumbai : Gerald D’Souza  scored twice – once in each half-  to take St Dominic Savio (Andheri) past Narsee Monje (Juhu)  4-2 in  the pre-quarterfinals of the DSO Mumbai Suburban (Andheri Taluka) Inter-School Football Tournament, held at St Francis D’Assisi Ground Borivali on Tuesday.

In another closely contested tie, Manekji Cooper  was tied to 1-1 as SVKM J.V.Parekh  at the regulation period. However, in the ensuing tie-breaker, Manekji boys were on the target, while their opponents were off target could convert only twice to Manekji’s four. While another match, JamnabaiNarsee beat LR &SM Vissanji Academy (Andheri)  by a solitary goal, scored by Nikhil Sharma.
