The 18th edition of the Asian Games are all set to kick start from August 18 and will end on September 2. The sporting extravaganza will be hosted by two Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang. This edition will host around 10,000 athletes from 45 countries who will compete in 58 games. The opening and closing ceremonies of the games will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta.
Talking about the Indian contingent, the Sports ministry has cleared an 804-member contingent and will participate in 36 sports in the tournament. This year javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra will be the flag bearer for India in the opening ceremony which will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta.
The tournament will be broadcast live on Sony Ten Network and could also be live streamed on SonyLiv app.
