Conman arrested by police on victim’s complaint

Khargoan: The TIT Complex area in the city witnessed action as a man was beaten up and then taken to the police by two individuals. After enquiring, it was found that this is a case of fraud where this man, Raju Mehta took a sum of Rs. 20,000 from Gogowa Janpad’s Naagjhiri resident Saavan Ramkaran Kushwah by promising a job.

The complainant informed that he met Raju ten months ago, who worked in the education department.  Raju said that he has influence in the department and could get him a job. Kushwah and his family believed Raju and gave him the money. However, when Saavan didn’t get a job for the coming months, they started pressuring Raju for returning the money.

He gave ten thousand back but did not return the rest. Saavan finally caught hold of Raju at TIT Complex, where they also argued about the money. When suggested so by people, Saavan decided to take him to the police and file a complaint against him. Allegedly, this individual, Raju Mehta had conned many others before this too.
