Youth arrested for own abduction, loot

Indore : Police registered cases against a youth who first staged loot and then his own kidnapping, on Monday. The police arrested him along with his two accomplices and booked them under various sections of the IPC. Further investigation in the matter is on.

According to Bhanwarkuwa police, one Karan Wadhwani disappeared from his home some days ago and his family filed a missing persons report with the police.

While the police was still investigating Karan’s complaint, Karan was found and during questioning he narrated an incident that occurred on September 29.

Karan told the police that on the fateful day he was carrying Rs 6 lakh in a bag when he met two youths– Bharat and Anil near Tower Chouraha.

According to Karan, the three of them went to an isolated spot behind Pipalyapala Regional Park where they consumed drugs. Karan fell unconscious and when he woke up, he found the bag, and Bharat and Anil missing. Based on Karan’s statement, the police rounded up Bharat and Anil and they told the police that Karan had given them Rs 50,000 each and they did not know what had happened to the remaining money. Now, the police have registered a case and are investigating the matter minutely.
